NDBX

Introducing you to our design language

While branding has been around since people began buying and trading goods, the definition of branding has certainly evolved in the digital age. Customers now have a wider range of interaction with companies and greater product choice.

Today, brand is more than just a logo and a slogan.

In today’s context, a brand  is the holistic sum of customers’ experiences, composed of visual, tonal and behavioral brand components, shaped by user-focused design.

NDBX is the Allianz design language that brings a intuitive user experience to Allianz employees and other operating entities all over the world. Our Design System empowers the decision-making process and guides different Allianz expert groups while designing and developing digital Allianz solutions in a simple, sympathetic and distinctive way.

Angular NDBX focuses on user interfaces for customer facing solutions (B2C). It provides our OEs (our direct customers) with ready to use NDBX elements in high quality, which they can easily implement when developing.

These Elements comprise practical guidelines and a variety of implementation assets (from well tested design patterns to ready for implementation code snippets, such as checkboxes, buttons or lists).

The developer just copies and pastes the element into the application and that’s it. The flexibility of customizing the element still exists, which makes NDBX a very user-friendly solution.

It has become a digital design system serving for different personas.

For all areas, the goal is to provide ready to use NDBX elements in high quality.

In total, the NDBX consists of four available comprehensive tools for developers: Sketch, inVision, AngularNDBX and Page Flow Engine.

These four tools help developers to be more efficient and simplify the process of developing a new digital application. (In case you haven't watched our tooling video yet, click here to do so :))

That is where we come into play. Angular NDBX is driven by the Global Digital Factory as part of global assets to align global Allianz’s user experience, so that they all look like one. Among the various libraries we developed (and developing) at the GDF, we have also various other tools and resources which simplify the life of our developers. As we support the OEs to turn their concepts into real interactive experiences, we make sure everything is compliant to the NDBX Guidelines at the same time.

In summary, the libraries and tools dramatically improve efficiency and quality.

They are designed to save time, reduce mistakes and ensure that digital solutions are compliant with the overall user experience and design standards set by Allianz all around the world.
